Gymboree
Like in Gymborees across the country, kids (and in some cases, parents) can stay busy with music classes, art, fitness, Yoga sessions, and of course, Gymboree.

Kindergym
Designed for young crawling babies and toddlers, Kindergym offers classes with Dawn Margolin in a large room with lots of play equipment. Even though Kindergym is located at Temple Beth Abraham, the children’s play area is open to families of all religious denominations.

Habitot Children’s Museum
The 9-year old museum is a hands-on play and learning center geared towards infants toddlers, and preschoolers.

MOCHA: Museum of Children’s Art
Mocha offers art and creative activities for kids 18 months and over. It has an art gallery, and also hosts classes geared towards learning through art, workshops, and camps.

Studio Grow

Wee Play
Wee Play is Alameda's play center for infants and toddlers: 6 months to 3 years old. Its menu of things to do for kids includes arts and crafts, song and music time, developmental and exploratory play.

Play Cafe

Thanks to a reader who sent in this recommendation. She says this is "a great place" to take toddlers to on rainy days. The kids can stay busy in the play area while the parents enjoy the cafe. Play Cafe offers free wi-fi, serves food, and according to our reader, has an amazing staff. It also has "mini-camps", in case you need to drop off your kid off for a couple of hours. Reservations are recommended for those.
